Trunk or Treat is coming Halloween Evening Saturday October 31st from 6 to 7 pm
Horizons of Faith’s third annual night of treating the neighborhood’s small ghosts, goblins, and what-ever-else youngsters can think of with goodies from the trunks of our cars will again occur on Halloween evening from 6 to 7 pm.
And what we need from the Community of Horizons of Faith is the trunks of your cars along with candy and other treats to pass out to the youngsters. We will also pass out flyers giving a Christian take on the true meaning of Halloween as well as other acidities we have at Horizons of Faith for children.
Our goal in this is not to celebrate a pagan holiday but to reclaim a holiday that once had religious roots as the eve of All-Hallowed Day – and provide a safe and fun environment for the children.
We are hoping to have at least a dozen cars in the parking lot that evening. Candies being distributed should all be individually wrapped. You may decorate your trunks and/or come in costume yourself as you see fit. Incase of inclement weather, the event will be moved inside.
A sign-up sheet will be posted in the narthex. Please join us for a very fun night and a unique way to witness to the children of this community.
